What they do
Confect allows digital marketers in e-commerce shops to connect their product catalogue with their service, automatically remove the background of all catalogue images using AI, and then automatically generate a range of alternative designs for product images. Those images are then automatically exported omnichannel, incl. to Facebook where a number of competing designs can run paid campaigns to identify key performers.
Why we invested
Primarily because of the founders, as is the case with most of our pre-seed cases. Co-founders and Andreas and Mathias are some of the most talented young founders we have come across. We believe in their core insight regarding the future of e-commerce marketing - that visual content distribution needs to be a ‘self-driving car’ based on automated performance feedback loops across online channels. And we are amazed that two young guys like that can have that insight, let alone build a product around it.
